Description
A wedge anchor is a stud-type mechanical anchor for solid concrete. The anchor is driven through the fixture into a drilled hole, and tightening the nut draws the cone up into the expansion clip so it wedges hard against the hole wall, producing a high-strength hold that resists tension and shear.
This 5/8" X 6" wedge anchor has a 5/8" nominal diameter and an overall length of 6", sized for the embedment depth and fixture thickness that combination allows.
- 18/8 stainless steel throughout for corrosion resistance in wet, washdown and exterior service.
- Single-piece expansion clip that grips the full circumference of the hole for consistent pull-out resistance.
- Through-fixture installation: drill, drive and tighten without removing the fixture.
- Nut and washer supplied so the fixture can be released and re-torqued without disturbing the anchor.
Applications
Used for anchoring structural steel, machine bases, racking, handrail posts, sill plates and equipment to poured concrete floors, walls and slabs.
