Description

These #6-32 self-clinching standoffs are 11/16" long with blind threads, in Hardened Steel, Heat Treated, Zinc & Bake Plated. They press into a punched or drilled hole in sheet metal, and the displaced panel material flows into the standoff's undercut so it locks in flush and permanent with no welding or loose hardware.

The host panel must be softer than the standoff for it to clinch properly. Blind-threaded standoffs are closed at one end, which keeps paint, plating and debris out of the threads and gives a finished look on the far side of the panel.

Steel is the strongest of the common standoff materials and is plated to protect it against corrosion.
