Description
These 1/4" X 1-1/2" semi-tubular rivets are manufactured from Steel Zinc Plated, featuring a truss head. The shank is drilled part way from the end opposite the head, so it clinches with far less force than a solid rivet while the remaining solid shank still carries a comparable shear load. The truss head is about 50% wider than the shank, which stops it pulling through soft material.
- Material and finish: Steel Zinc Plated
- Head style: Truss Head
- Diameter: 1/4
- Length: 1-1/2"
- Head diameter: .735 - .765"
- Hole type: Type S, straight hole
- Applications: Screen and storm doors, sheet metal and soft-material assembly
Installation is with a rivet press or squeezer; the hollow shank end rolls outward to form the clinch. Select a length that leaves enough shank to form a sound head on the far side of the joint.
