Description

One piece High Speed Steel Round Adjustable Die for threading applications. Specifically designed for 1/4 inch-20 threads with a 13/16 inch outer diameter, uncoated bright finish. Chamfered on both faces to support starting threads and threading near a shoulder.

Features

  • Round die with chamfers on both faces; one side provides a 2 to 3 thread chamfer for reliable thread initiation, the opposite side provides a 1 to 1-1/2 thread chamfer for threading close to a shoulder.
  • Fine pitch screw adjustment moves the die halves apart or together for precise thread depth control.
  • The slot is beveled to allow adjustment when used in a machine holder; the adjusting screw can be removed so the holder’s adjustment screws can be used.
  • Designed to improve wear life in repeated threading operations and produce clean, accurate threads.
