Description

M5 X 0.8 HSS Plug Hand Tap for cutting internal threads by hand or in a tapping head. Cutting edges on the chamfered lead progressively form the thread as the tap advances, with straight flutes carrying chips back out of the hole. This size has a M5 cutting diameter, 7/8" of flute, 2-3/8" overall length and a 0.194 shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
  • M5 thread at 0.8 threads per inch.
