Description

M38 X 3 HSS Plug Hand Tap for cutting internal threads by hand or in a tapping head. Cutting edges on the chamfered lead progressively form the thread as the tap advances, with straight flutes carrying chips back out of the hole. This size has a M38 cutting diameter, 3" of flute, 6-1/16" overall length and a 1.102 shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
