Description

#8-32 UNC HSS Plug Hand Tap for cutting internal threads by hand or in a tapping head. Cutting edges on the chamfered lead progressively form the thread as the tap advances, with straight flutes carrying chips back out of the hole. This size has a #8 cutting diameter, 3/4" of flute, 2-1/8" overall length and a 0.131" shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Tin Coated finish, titanium nitride coating raises surface hardness and allows higher feeds.
  • #8 thread at 32 threads per inch.
