Description

1"-8 UNC HSS Plug Hand Tap for cutting internal threads by hand or in a tapping head. Cutting edges on the chamfered lead progressively form the thread as the tap advances, with straight flutes carrying chips back out of the hole. This size has a 1" cutting diameter, 2-1/2" of flute, 5-1/8" overall length and a 0.8" shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Tin Coated finish, titanium nitride coating raises surface hardness and allows higher feeds.
  • 1" thread at 8 threads per inch.
