Description

1/2"-14 NPS HSS NPS Pipe Tap for cutting straight pipe thread in fittings and housings. Straight pipe thread engages on a constant diameter, so the joint holds mechanically and seals with a gasket, o-ring or sealant rather than by thread wedging. This size has a 1/2" cutting diameter, 1-21/32" of flute, 3-1/8" overall length and a 0.6875" shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
