Description
This left-hand HSS round adjustable die is sized for thread size #12-28 with a 1 inch outer diameter. The uncoated (bright) body provides clear visibility for wear and chip clearance. Adjustment is achieved by a fine pitch screw that forces the sides apart or allows them to spring together. Chamfering is on both faces: one side uses a two-to-three thread chamfer for threading, the other side uses a one-to-one-and-a-half thread chamfer for threading close to a shoulder. The beveled slot accommodates use in a machine holder, and the adjusting screw can be removed to allow adjustment via the holder’s screws.
