Description

M3 X 0.5 HSS Bottoming Hand Tap for cutting internal threads by hand or in a tapping head. Cutting edges on the chamfered lead progressively form the thread as the tap advances, with straight flutes carrying chips back out of the hole. This size has a M3 cutting diameter, 5/8" of flute, 1-15/16" overall length and a 0.124 shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
  • M3 thread at 0.5 threads per inch.
