Description

7/16"-12 Acme HSS Acme Tap for cutting Acme power-transmission threads in lead screws and jacks. The 29 degree trapezoidal Acme form carries load along a broad flank, transmitting motion under thrust far better than a vee thread. This size has a 7/16" cutting diameter, 2-9/16" of flute and 5" overall length.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
