Description

5/8"-8 Acme HSS Acme Tap for cutting Acme power-transmission threads in lead screws and jacks. The 29 degree trapezoidal Acme form carries load along a broad flank, transmitting motion under thrust far better than a vee thread. This size has a 5/8" cutting diameter, 3-3/16" of flute, 6-1/4" overall length and a 0.48" shank.

  • HSS construction that holds a keen edge at moderate cutting speeds and regrinds easily.
  • Uncoated (Bright) finish, leaves the edge bare for free cutting.
