8-36 Bottoming Hand Tap, Carbon Steel

This 8-36 bottom style hand tap is used to re-thread damaged and/or jammed threads. Carbon Steel hand taps may also be used to newly thread mild steels.

Mutual Screw Hand Tap FYI:

• Taper Taps - Start the thread square with the workpiece.
• Plug Taps - Generally used in thru holes.
• Bottoming Taps - Generate the thread to the bottom of the hole.
