Left-Hand Fasteners |
Most fastener threads are right-handed in design—this means that the threads are oriented so that they appear to move away from the user when the device is turned clockwise. However, there are more than a few applications where a left-handed fastener might be more appropriate. Sometimes, the turning of a particular shaft would cause a standard right-hand to loosen, while a left-hand fastener would remain firmly in place. In this section, we have posted the selection of left-hand screws and left-hand thread bolts (sometimes called “reverse thread” nuts) available through Mutual Screw & Supply—just a tiny portion of our vast catalog of high-quality fasteners from today’s leading brands. |
